Ahwatukee Foothills charter school Horizon Community Learning Center (HCLC) celebrated its 10th anniversary in April with an all-school parade, re-dedication ceremony, and carnival.

The day started with a parade through the parking lot that included handmade floats and student entertainers, including Spanish dancers, jugglers, cheerleaders, and puppeteers.

Immediately after the parade, students, staff, and parents moved to the athletic field for a tribute to HCLC's 10-year families and teachers, a re-dedication of the school, and the first performance of the school’s new fight song!

The day concluded with HCLC's annual Spring Fling, which included amusement park rides, carnival games, and a fireworks show.

Horizon Community Learning Center is a tuition-free, public charter school providing continuous learning from kindergarten through high school. Located in Ahwatukee, HCLC serves the Phoenix metropolitan area, including the Ahwatukee Foothills, Casa Grande, Chandler, Gilbert, Guadalupe, Maricopa, Mesa, and Tempe.
